This is the first corporate sanctioned entertainment event. Citizens are expected to attend and will receive extra priveleges for correct behavior

Abandon Normal Devices (AND) Festival will transform Preston's thriving covered market into a drive-in cinema for a special screening of Nicholas Roeg's stunning sci-fi classic, The Man Who Fell to Earth.

 

Focusing on an alien (David Bowie) visiting Earth to get water for his drought-stricken planet, Roeg's meditative capturing of earthly pleasures, alienation and the destructive pull of greed is an alluring yet dispiriting vision of the not too distant future.

AND are collaborating with They Eat Culture to create a truly unique and immersive live outdoor cinema experience. This event is produced by AND with They Eat Culture for the Abandon Normal Devices (AND) Festival that will be taking place in Preston 23rd and 24th September.

18:30 Gates will open on Cheap Side Street for Cars and Pedestrians.

19:30 W-E Corp Performances by They Eat Culture

20:00 Feature Film Begins 22:00 Film ends (approx)

 

Ticketing Information

 

The film is strictly an 18 Certificate so there will be ID check on entry

£15 Car per car - Maximum 4 people No large vehicles premitted, such as van, 4x4 or people carries this

to ensure all attendees have unobstructed view of the film.
To listen to the movie all you need do is tune your car radio into the onsite radio frequency which will be provided to you on arrival.

£5 per Person on foot -

We have radio headphones available for a small deposit, allowing you to listen to the movie anywhere
in the covered market. We will provide seating, but feel free to bring your own blankets or other home comforts!
